Evening Services & Dinners

For three Sundays, beginning on October 25, Dr. Ben Ribbens will be leading our evening services. Two beliefs form the foundation of Christianity: (1) the Trinity and (2) Jesus’s identity as both divine and human. Yet, even though these are the most fundamental doctrines of Christianity, we often struggle to know how exactly to articulate them. In our three-week series on the Creeds, we will look at the events that led the church to formalize positions on these matters at the Councils of Nicaea and Chalcedon. In the process, we will get to know the wrong ways of expressing these doctrines (heresies), learn how to express them faithfully, and discuss how these doctrines help us grow in faith, hope, and love. We will meet in the fellowship hall, have some time for discussion and Q&A, and share dinner after the service. Nursery will be provided for these services.
